Top Gadgets For The Winter
Over the last two weeks, the UK has seen some of the coldest weather on record, with many parts of the UK reaching a teeth-chattering -18 degrees Celcius (with some areas of Scotland dropping well below this).
So, to help us all deal with the cold and the snow a little better, here’s a couple of the best gadgets for the winter months:
The Zippo Handwarmer
The Zippo handwarmer, designed and manufactured by the team behind the World famous Zippo lighters, is up to ten times warmer than other handwarmers on the market. Using a flameless system, the handwarmer uses an innovative heating system called catalytic combustion. A great little gadget for those times when you just can’t avoid going outside.
Handerpants
The handerpants are designed to be worn underneath your gloves (or on their own), and reduce chafing and absorb sweat; meaning they’re not only warm, but they make those cold winter days all the more comfortable. They look pretty funny too.
The Midland SubZero Headphones
Retailing at £34.99, the Midland SubZero Headphones are cheaper than a lot of the high-end headphones on the market, and these ones keep your ears warm with their faux fur earmuffs around the headphones. Stylish and warm, the headphones allow you to listen to your music without the cold getting to your ears, and they’re thin enough to be worn underneath your beanie hat. They also include a built in mic, meaning you can use them with your iPhone or Blackberry to take calls without having to compromise on the temperature of your lugs.

Best Gadgets to Have in Your Car
There are loads of gadgets around for your car but which are the best and what do they do? One gadget that everyone will have heard of is satellite navigation. These are great little devices that can direct you to you destinations by just entering the name of where you want to go or a post code. Whether you have a lease car, rental car or maybe you even went for a van contract hire all these gadgets are sure to help you out in one situation or another.
However there are some other more exciting and fun gadgets around. One of my favourites is a portable fridge that can be powered from the lighter socket. These fridges are rather small but will be able to hold a few beers and some snacks as well, which is always handy when you go on a road trip.
For those of you keen to bring all your electronics along for the ride you can purchase a USB converter for your cigarette lighter. These devices are fairly inexpensive and allow you to charge any USB compatible devices such as you iPod whilst you are on the go.
For those clean freaks amongst you there is a portable vacuum cleaner that easily stores in your car. For just £7 ($10) you really can’t go wrong.
Rechargeable torches will also keep you prepared for any situation that should arise. That could be a punctured tyre or any other kind of night time expedition you may find yourself embarking upon. As with most things this also easily plugs into the cigarette lighter allowing you to always have a source of light to hand.
Review of New LED TV Screens
TVs have come a long way since their first conception. You used to have to sit a meter away if you wanted to see anything at all and you only got black and white with the first models. We have come a long way since then and new generations have brought with them such things as wide screen, flat screen and surround sound. Read the rest of this entry »
