Do Computer Games Make British Children Fall Asleep?

without comments

Computer games have often come under the spotlight in relation to kids. The main concern usually being that too much time spent in front of the TV will result in children not getting the exercise they need and therefore becoming fat or obese. Recently however computer games have been scrutinised for different reasons. This time it’s felt that late nights spent playing computer games will result in children that are too tired to work whilst at school. Of course a late night for whatever reason will leave kids or anyone for that matter feeling a bit fatigued but should this really be blamed on computer games. After all you could just as well  spend the night on your desktop pc working on some important documents and end up just as tired as your children.

However many teachers have claimed that their primary school pupils are becoming addicted to computer games causing them to not perform well in class and even fall asleep! The main distinction here is that children are addicted and therefore feel a compelling need to stay up late and play video games even though they may well be aware it will have a detrimental effect on their daily lives. It is argued that this is different than someone who stays up late to work or do some other kind of activity because they are not acting in accordance with an addiction.

3 Things Never to ask a Fat Person

with one comment

Obesity is a very terrible illness to suffer with, with the worst aspect being the depression and people making faultless but harmful comments. Here are 3 comments that you should at all costs try to avoid when speaking to someone that is overweight.

Firstly is the most important asking someone fat if they are hungry will never win them over. Even if you have just bought a collection of food books and want to show off your skills, you should steer well away from this question.

Secondly is asking them if they are pregnant, ok you may be able to get away with it with a women. But why would you ask such a stupid question to a man.

And finally never say to them “oh you have lost weight, you look great” Because people can always tell your lying. You will probably end up hurting there feelings even though you are trying to help them.

Well I would love to hear more answers to this so all comments are welcome.
