I’m Becoming a Captain!
I have decided that I am going to buy a RIB, but which brand i keep asking myself, I like the look of the Cobra RIB because of it’s family appeal, however, the Zodiac RIB has power and stability.
In the end I have decided to go with either a Zodiac or a Tornado, I like the idea of a tornado because it’s said to be near-indestructible and be made from strong stuff, it’s also known as the Toyota Pick-Up of the seas because of this.
Tornado Rigid Inflatable Boat
Although the Tornado RIB was designed for commercial and military use, it’s built up a reputation of being tough and durable and being able to handle some of the roughest seas, all while being able to travel long distances. This is one of the main reason why I would consider Tornado RIBs, the seas are not exactly soft around the UK, plus you have to go long distances for anything interesting where I live 
Well, by the looks of it, both brand seem to be what I’m after, so I guess I’ll have to see what RIBs they have to offer on JBTMarine and see which one is the best value!

My friend took me out for my first RIB ride last weekend, I went out on his Cobra RIB, it was awesome!! He told me to go check out some RIBs and told me about JBTMarine, they have some great information about RIBs and the brands, they also have some new and second hand RIBs available to buy, here some great information I found about Cobra RIBs i thought I’d share.

Cobra RIBS is one of the leading RIB boat brands in the UK, Cobra RIBS are sometimes referred as the Volvo Estate of the sea because they have a reputation for reliability, value for money, excellent performance and an extremely high quality of finish.
The first RIB made by Cobra was called the Picton Cobra rigid inflatable boat, this was mainly a commercial boat, however, the brand quickly realised the potential of RIBs in the family market.
At first the Cobra RIBs gained a a good reputation for their excellent build quality and sea keeping ability in the water. Once they created their first family RIB Cobra quickly developed a reputation for combining safety with speed.
