Everywhere In The World Is Having To Pay More For Heating
At the moment it would seem that there are many countries out there that are having to fork out a lot of extra money to pay for the huge heating bills that they really have no choice but to have. Here are the reasons on why major governments like the US and UK are having to pay out more money for their country’s heating bills.
Snow
The snow here in the UK has been pretty bad in January and this of course means that because of the snow many of the schools were shut for a long period of time. This also means that many parents had to stay at home with the kids too which means they are going to want to crack up the heating.
USA
The US has seen major temperature falls this year with a lot of really warm states such as Florida hitting as low as 3 degrees, this also means that the heating will be switched on which is why Obama is actually paying out $16 million for heating bills this winter.
Gadgets To Help?
While there aren’t really gadgets as such that can help with something like this you can get your loft insulated, have a industrial heater put into place or even get double glazing fixed onto your windows. Portable heaters are also another option to take.
Whatever the choice make sure you are keeping warm in the big freeze.
I am curious. When you refer to Obama, are you referring to the White House heating and cooling bill?
Al Gore pays in excess of $30,000 per year in heating bills for his Tennessee home, but, I can imagine the White House is much less efficient in terms of power use. But, 16 million seems high, unless you are referring to the administrative section of the government. Then 16 million seems too little.
If you wish to answer this question here, I would be grateful.
Thanks for the great blog.

When the temperatures drop there is always the temptation to use your outdoor heater indoors… don’t! They are designed specificaly to be used outside, particularly gas patio heaters. You need to get either an indoor heater or one of the indoor/outdoor heaters, although these tend to be a bit more expensive.
