Gadgets For People With Disabilities
There are so many gadgets out there to help out people with disabilities users and they range from the very simple to the mad ones that scientists are inventing to try and help people with a disability.
Gloves
Yes believe it or not gloves are very important for someone who is in a wheelchair as it helps them to keep a grip on the wheels when moving around. On top of this it is also going to be helping the hands out as without gloves you will start to see a lot of wear and tear on the hands.
Insulin Pump
Diabetes is a disability and although many people say there is a cure on the way I cannot personally see anything coming to the public in the near future. It is said that only 2% of people in the UK have a insulin pump but those people have all said that it has made a significant difference on their life.
Vehicles
Although this is a bit of a big gadget and many people may argue that it really isnt a gadget at all, wheelchair accessible vehicles have come in useful for people over the past few years. Without vehicles like this it would be impossible to take many people anywhere which would be a great shame as they need to get out as much as everyone else.
So there you have it, just a few of the gadgets out there that could help the disabled.

As a relative of someone with Diabetes I am skepitcal about the insulin pump. Although they seem like a good idea they are quite bulky and can be easily seen through clothing. Maybe they are a good idea for children and elderly people but for teenagers who are fashion consious it doesn’t look nice to have a bulky box under clothing!

I am diabetic myself and I personally would not want to wear one. However they are very small nowadays and not as big as they were when they hit the world in the 70s.
Although I am not sure teenagers care as much as you think about fashion. I myself am a teenager and I couldn’t care less what people think about what I am wearing.

I have known a couple people who use insulin pumps and I tend to agree that they are very useful and many of the newer models are slim and discrete. There is usually a way to conceal it in your clothes or wear it on your belt like a pager.

I’ve seen vehicles for the disabled and I really think they are great. There is no reason disabled people shouldnt be able to drive, they just need a slightly modified car thats all.
