Modern Vans No Match for Original VW Kombi
Looking around for a new van I’ve been reminded of the wonderful times I had in one of these fantastic VW Kombi’s. A summer spent in California visiting San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and driving along the scenic highway one from Cambria to Carmel along the Big Sur coast. A fantastic summer of treasured memories.
Unfortunately I can only get the modern equivalents on a van leasing contract and they don’t compare with the character of an original split screen VW Kombi.
Those lucky folks in the UK can get ‘new’ Type 2 Kombis from the Brazilian production line:
