How a chat in a bar stopped me buying a new computer

without comments

I have of late been suffering due to a very slow and irritating computer in fact it has annoyed me so much I was bitching about it in a local bar. The man I was talking to was my friend Brian who is a total computer geek. I discussed my computer problems with Bryan and asked his help picking a new computer. Bryan took some time to ponder my query and while stoking his beard stated “I don’t think you need a new computer”. I reiterated once more to Bryan just how annoyed I was with my computer in fact the other day I honestly wanted to destroy it with a hammer. In fact I was a little mad with Bryan for not recognizing my pain. However Bryan did explain his thinking “I think that you are having Windows registry issues”. Bryan could have been talking dutch for all i understood of what he was saying although I guess it would make sense to people who know about computers. Not wanting to seem foolish I carried on as if I understood Bryan and said “Ah I see”. At this point Bryan had clearly noticed from the spaced out look in my eyes that I really had no idea what he was talking about. He produced a pen and paper and wrote upon the paper the web site fix-this-computer.com. He then went on to explain that I should visit this site and look under the Fix Windows Registry Errors section and from this I should select an option for a free registry scan which would identify and registry errors present on my computer and after this would give me the option to repair them. I followed his instructions and now my computer runs like a dream, thanks Bryan.
