A selection of 49 RIBs and power boats are taking part this year and some are driven by some odd drivers, Top Gear cameraman Iain May, presenter James May and DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles are part of the crew of the Garmin Racing, designed and built by Geoff Hunton at Hunton Powerboats.

Although this boat has a great advantage with its 900 horsepower, the crew has almost no experience on the water so the boat doesn’t have great odds of winning, especially with the famous Captain Slow as part of the crew.

Is this really the way to solve the problem?
