Nintendo Wii

A multitude of unique features, unlike anything seen in gaming history are available with the Nintendo Wii console.  The Nintendo Wii is more than just a bolus of new, exciting, and inventive gameplay. The new console allows access to different channels that are used as interplay during large battles and it can switch among different games.  Some of these channels are The News Channel, the Internet Channel, The Forcast Channel.Soon there will be more channels.  Another feature that is unique to the Nintendo Wii console is the introduction of the Virutal Console.  This offers the bulk of online content available on the Nintendo Wii.  This feature works by allowing the owner to purchase a wide array of games on multiple platforms such as NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Turbo-grafix, and Neo-Geo.  These gaming titles are purchased with Wii Points.  This system functions as a currency among the virtual community.Retail stores and the online community offer Wii points for purchase.  The only disadvantage to the Nintendo Wii console is the amount of download time that it takes for these downloads.  The downloads may take anywhere in between a minute to as long as 10 minutes for the total download time.

Notable features of the Nintendo Wii Console

The key features that present themselves when first opening the box is the slim, unique design of the console itself. The following are the dimensions for the console.75 in. x 6.25 in. x 8.5 in.).The slender design of the Nintendo Wii fulfills Nintendo’s promise. The 512 MB of internal memory available on the Wii can be used to download content, data, or for storage. For more storage, the system has standard Secure Digital Card slots.  One of the most notable features that comes with the Nintendo Wii is the introduction of Wii Sports.{The Wii allows players to access virtual tennis, baseball, and bowling}.  By using the wii controller, players really become engulfed in the very essence of the gaming world that is provided by the Nintendo Wii console. From the first time the console is turned on, the realism of these games becomes evident.

Setups of the Future

Setup is convenient for everyone because of the Wii’s simple design.  The layout of the ports located in the back of the hardware provides easy access and simple maintenance and hook ups.  The producers of the Nintendo Wii console risked a large gamble by changing the history of Nintendo gaming consoles. This gamble seems to have paid off when looked at from the sales perspective.  The public has spoken and the Nintendo Wii has proven that the producers of Nintendo have successfully made the next console of the future with the Nintendo Wii.

How a Console Improves Your Golfing

without comments

People love to play computer games, whether a fighting or sports game it all about winning. But the Nintendo Wii has brang so much more to the industry then any other console, now instead of just playing a game and excersicing out your mind, you can now also tire out your body.

I myself play golf a lot and to be honest I did not used to be very good, no matter what golf clubs or golf putters I purchased it just did not help me. Well a few times back I decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii and it came bundled in with Wii Sports which included a Golf game. Obviously being obsessed with golf I decided to play this and it was just as realistic as any real game I have ever played.

After playing for a few weeks, my new skills and confidence was gleaming, so I decided to join a tournament. I didn’t feel I would get very far, but to my surprise I got through the first round and then the second and third, I was in the semi finals but unfortunatley I got knocked out by an excellent player who had probably had 10 years and more of experience.

But I would not get myself angry because of the fact that I got to the semi finals, it just shows you how well the games consoles have developed. I do recommend that if you are looking to get into any type of activity to go out and grab yourself a games console, within a few months you will have mastered your game. The wii and a nice set of golf equipment is all you need.

Nintendo Wii — Must Have Accessories

without comments

While a new Nintendo Wii system will give you everything you need to get started, it won’t include those extra “must have” accessories that will enhance your overall gaming experience as much as possible.

For instance, the Nintendo Wii usually only comes with one controller. While this means you can still play by yourself, it’s not possible to enjoy the gaming experience with a friend without having an extra controller.  If another family member or friend wants to play along with you, he or she is going to need a remote too.

If, however, you have an old GameCube controller laying around, you may be able to use it for your Wii. You could also try the wireless Nintendo WaveBird.  Unfortunately, GameCube controllers are inferior to Wii ones, and should only be used for playing GameCube games on Wii.  In order to enjoy games designed exclusively for Wii, you and your friend are going to both need Wii controllers.

Other accessories you should get for your Nintendo Wii are rechargeable batteries and chargers.  While you can use two regular AA batteries for each Wiimote, your gaming won’t last very long at all before they die. You can also get a lot of free Wii accessories from plenty of websites around the web

If you plan on playing GameCube games on your Wii, don’t forget about GameCube memory cards.  It’s the only way you’re going to be able to save your progress with GameCube games.  Your old ones should work if you have any.  If not, then you’ll have to get some new ones.

You’ll also be able to play the old classic games from the original Nintendo Entertainment System, SNES, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, and so forth. However, in order to do so, you’ll need to stack up on Wii Points and then exchange them for downloads.  Consider Wii Points to be another accessory you need to buy.

Other Nintendo Wii accessories you’ll need include internet access, larger SD memory cards, USB Wi Fi connector, skin covers for your nunchucks and Wiimote,  component video adapter, Wi Zapper, and more.

All of these accessories will improve your gaming experience with the Nintendo Wii.  With the extra accessories, you will be able to play with your friends and family, thus increasing the amount of entertainment the Wii can provide.
