What Are The Next Generation Of Consoles Going To Be Like?
Although it is well worth noting that none of the major companies, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, have actually announced that there will be any new console on the way until at least 2012 it is well worth looking to see just what may be going into the new consoles.
Nintendo
It looks like Nintendo need to make the most improvments on their consoles. The Wii in the eyes of a Nintendo fan is a very poor console indeed but Nintendo never said it would be great. In fact I think people would agree that Nintendo have not had a decent console since the release of the N64. The Wii has actually outsold both the 360 and the PS3 but in my opinion is the worst console out there as it lacks decent games for the fans and the motion sensing technology does not beat the traditional controlle.
On the other hand it would seem that the Wii is merely a Nintendo prototype so imagine what the next console is going to be like. Of course Nintendo are going to have to invest in better graphics.
Sony
Overall the PS3 is not a bad console at all, so what can be done with the next one? The graphics on the system are very good but when it comes to unique games it would seem it is heavily behind rival Microsoft who win hands down. Online play needs to be improved upon too.
Microsoft
The Xbox 360 is a very strong system with brilliant graphics, great online play but does it have its faults? Of course it has problems one of them being that it is without a browser and the other is that it breaks a lot.
Project Natal could be Microsoft’s answer to the new console?
So perhaps all we need here are a few cable ties a couple of circuit breakers with a dose of deutsch connectors and we could be set for the next generation.
